Viruddha Ahara — especially fish with milk — is the primary cause of all skin disease per Vagbhata
60M+ Indians with chronic skin disease — 4th most disabling condition
Root dosha
All three Doshas + Rakta Dhatu
Why lifestyle matters
Fish+milk, curd, and fermented foods create Ama in Rakta Dhatu (blood). Topical steroids suppress symptoms without clearing the blood — causing rebound. All Ayurvedic skin treatment begins with Raktashodhana (blood purification) from within.
Daily habits
6:00 AM
Neem Decoction (Empty Stomach)
5 fresh neem leaves boiled in 2 cups water to 1 cup — drink on empty stomach. Most powerful daily blood purifier in Ayurveda. Reduces Pitta in Rakta Dhatu.
6:30 AM
Triphala Water
Soak 1 tsp Triphala in water overnight — drink the water every morning (eat the Triphala or discard). Detoxifies Rakta Dhatu from within, clears Ama from blood channels.
Pre-bath
Neem + Turmeric Paste
Fresh neem paste + turmeric + coconut oil applied to affected areas 20 min before bath — anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory, heals skin barrier without steroids.
12:00 PM
Strict Anti-Viruddha Ahara
No fish with milk, no curd, no fermented food — ever. The primary treatment for Kushtha is removing the cause. Even one Viruddha meal can trigger a flare lasting weeks.
Evening
Manjishtha Tea or Powder
1 tsp Manjishtha with warm water — primary Raktashodhana (blood-purifying) herb. Classical Kushtha treatment from AH Chikitsa. Most important single supplement.
Bedtime
Cooling Pranayama
Sheetali (cooling breath) — 10 min before bed. Directly reduces Pitta in blood, calms inflammatory cascade in skin. Use Chandra Bhedana if Sheetali is difficult.
