Simhasana

Siṃhāsana

Steps

  1. Kneel and cross ankles — right ankle over left — sit on them.
  2. Place palms on knees, fingers spread wide apart.
  3. Inhale through the nose.
  4. Exhale: open the mouth wide, stick out the tongue, gaze at the nose tip.
  5. Roar the breath out. Apply the three bandhas. Repeat, then switch ankle crossing.

Caution

  • Practice on empty stomach. Avoid with knee injury by sitting in Bhadrasana instead.
