Steps

  1. Sit with legs extended. Bend right knee, place right foot outside left knee.
  2. Place left arm on the outside of right knee, right hand behind you.
  3. Inhale lengthen the spine; exhale twist to the right.
  4. Look over the right shoulder. Breathe deeply.
  5. Hold 30–60 seconds; repeat on the left.

Caution

  • Move gently with spinal injuries. Never force the twist.
